Ah, here we go. We are de-medicalizing psychosis. Lately, a lot of folks carp about medicalizing normal stuff - insomnia becomes sleep disorder, worry becomes obsessive disorder, and so on. Well, in this one, hallucination becomes just a normal part of going to church.

The church people, most certainly the priests, live in a world full of seeing imaginary friends, hearing voices, wearing strange outfits, mumbling about blood and bread and flesh and reality. I'm starting to think that the most human part of it all is the child rapes. At least that has some recognizable human motivation. It may be the most normal thing any of them do in their long, miserable careers. What an odd business this all is!!

Well, I'm getting my tinfoil hat ready and the old clothes from the attic. Child rape seems so .... nineties. I think maybe the rules are telling me that torturing small animals should be a sacrament. Oh, wait......
